About KnitHeaven
KnitHeaven began in 2004 as a home for free vintage knitting patterns and grew into a library of needlework books from the 1840s to the 1920s, covering knitting, crochet, lace, embroidery, quilting, and tatting.
Many thanks to our sisters of yesteryear. Mrs. Beeton, Cornelia Mee, Marie Webster, and many whose names are unknown led the way by writing down these instructions and patterns. We will be forever grateful for their foresight.
If you make something from one of these patterns and find a way to make the directions clearer, please tell us through the Contact page, and we will post the correction with credit to you.
